Thanks to Librarian of Fortune for pointing out an excellent cross-site search engine entitled Intelways. Intelways.com is searchable by topics: general, images, videos, news, social, files, reference, academic, technology, business, shopping, maps, Amazon and more. Here are a few examples of what I found using Intelways last night:
- Links to a highly useful sight from Mashable, 25 Free Online Educational Sites.
- As another example, I choose “images” then ended up in the New York Public Library Digital Images library. As first year students are beginning Dissection soon, I found some 16th century engravings of human cranial nerves here:
- Try clicking on the top box, “Academic” for 20+ links to Science sites.
- Finally, on Digg.com there was a caption for a photo entitled “Death Valley Sky at Night“. What a wondrous image of the Milky Way! As Teddy Roosevelt once said, “The romance of my life began in the West” – one can see why after viewing this photo.
Intelways deserves a bookmark – don’t you agree?

It is WONDERFUL. Thank you for this information. Sort of like Turboscout, but with more topics.
