So here we go again:
Monday April 7 2008 was the official first day that the Open Access Policy set by National Institutes of Health came into effect. The policy requires that individual scientists who have received funding from government-sponsored grants – which resulted in research being published in peer-reviewed biomedical journals – to deposit that research into the PubMedCentral archive within 12 months of the date of the publication.
