News: Rubicon Consulting Report – Sept 25 2007

This article from Rubicon Consulting is entitled “Growth of Web Applications in the U.S.” and is worth reading just for the CHARTS about how users are adopting and applying Web 2.0 technologies in 2007. Not surprisingly, undergraduate and graduate students are shown to be the early adopters of social networking, with 90-95% using using e-mail. From the report:

“More than half of college and graduate school students said they use one or more web applications on a regular basis. Only 11% said they had not heard of web applications. It’s safe to say that among US college students, web applications usage has become a mainstream activity“.
