Education, Instruction, News: An Online Radiology Community… Aunt Minnie.com

Since I seem to be on a Radiology kick these days (two previous postings about radiology in the last 10 days on this blog), I might was well continue it with a site that Radiology faculty and residents have told me about: AuntMinnie.com.

Following is an excerpt from their “About AuntMinnie” page:

  • “AuntMinnie.com provides the first comprehensive community Internet site for radiologists and related professionals in the medical imaging industry.
  • AuntMinnie.com provides a forum for radiologists, business managers, technologists, members of organized medicine, and industry to meet, transact, research, and collaborate on topics within the field of radiology with the ease and speed that only the Internet can provide.
  • AuntMinnie.com features the latest news and information about medical imaging.
  • The staff responsible for content on AuntMinnie includes executives, editors, and software engineers with years of experience in the radiology industry.”

While access to the site is free, registration is required before any in-depth content from the site will be shown… and content is what this site is, to be sure, excellent at delivering.

Following are a few selected screenshots from the site:

If you’d like to continue your Radiology kick, take a look at medicexchange.com – lots of news, education, conference coverage and the largest Radiology jobs board online.

You can also embed the latest Radiology news on your site using syndication.medicexchange.com at absolutely no cost.

You have some great posts in your blog and I’ll be back to keep updated!

    Dear Creaky,
Great blog—I am glad to see you are on a radiology kick these days. Excellent postings with well crafted pics/images. Come check out my site, radRounds… like Sermo but with several additional Web 2.0 features and focuses on a specialty, not all physicians… we focus specifically on radiologists. The goal of the site is networking and collaborative learning–people can post and discuss cases, quiz each other. Come check it out! I would like to link exchange too with you. Let me know if you’d like that. Best regards
    Steven Chan MD
    radiologist and cofounder, radRounds

Another great Radiology community, which has been launched about 1 month ago is my favorite: Radiolopolis.
It is pretty much the most comprehensive Radiology community for education, research and practice offering a multiplicity of information and tools.

I just list a few features:
    – Find and connect to people with similar interests and expand your network
    – Discuss topics from different Radiology fields in dedicated forums
    – Prepare for the Radiology boards
    – Find tutorials and eLearning material
    – Share your images, videos, teaching files and lectures
    – Simplify your research and find partners
    – Create or join research and study groups
    – General and Radiology specific search engines
    – Read Radiology news from multiple subspecialties
    – Publishing case reports (collaboration with the JRCR)
    – Find helpful tools for your daily work as radiologist (calculators, research help tools, etc.)
    …and much more…

    The website is http://www.radiolopolis.com.
    Two thumbs up!
